I woke up to rain. Rain like I have never seen before, it was pouring. When it stopped everything looked a lot greener.

I tried reading my sci fi novel on the small bungalow porch but the rain brought out all the mosquitoes so my quite morning with a book was short lived.

I didn’t like the food we had for lunch all that much, the Pad Thai was too sweet so I decided to have something very hot for dinner.

I went for a swim later that afternoon and gathered some coral pieces that the rain and storm brought to the shore. I brought them home with me and keep them in glass jar. The water and sun bleached them but they are a beautiful reminder of a wonderful relaxing vacation on a magical island.

No spectacular sunsets for today, just the sweet smell of rain and a curious bird to keep us company at lunch
